Las Vegas Car Rentals

Las Vegas Car Rentals - Need A Car Rental In Las Vegas?

If you're thinking of getting a vacation and going to Las Vegas to hit the casinos, or other stimulating activities you have in mind, then you're also wondering how you can rent a car while you're there. Las Vegas rental car companies all vary in prices, benefits, extra services, etc. So if you're heading out to Vegas and you want a basic rundown on how to get a rental car, then read on.

24 Hour Service
Unless the car rental company's website state otherwise, they're open 24/7. You don't really have to worry about not getting a rental car in Las Vegas (although, there are some companies that don't offer a 24-hour service). To be sure, check out the company's website if they're closed on the day of your planned vacation. It's a good idea to book the car ahead of time so that things will go a lot smoother for you. Specify the absolute time along with the pick-up date.

Additional Fees
When you check some Las Vegas rental car websites, you'll most probably be amazed at how cheap the prices are. Don't get excited, though. There're actually additional fees and taxes that are usually not mentioned in there. You won't believe the extra payment you'll be making. Sometimes, the prices add up to nearly double the cost of your original payment. The best way to handle this then is to be properly informed. What that means is that you need to actually call the car rental company to confirm the rate. Although, it's recommended that you read the company policies first before making the call.

Plan Your Mileage
It's also recommended that you plan out your mileage. A lot of companies basically rent out their cars for 3 to 5 days. If you use the car for more than that allotted time, they start hitting you up for some additional payment. It's best that you book the Las Vegas rental car for more than five days if you're not sure about how long you'll actually be staying. This option gets rid of the nasty surprises in the bill. You can choose to rent a car for just one day if you like but some companies still charge it up to the 3-day limit, so it's best that you use up all that time.

Las Vegas Law
Las Vegas law has its own unique style. The law in the state of Nevada basically allows car rental companies to charge you additional fines if the car you rented gets damaged even if it wasn't your fault. Even if you have normal insurance for this kind of thing, it won't cover that additional fine. However, it is still recommended that you get a car insurance so as to make things a lot easier for you. The rental company may add or deduct that to the insurance (depending on your credit card), but it'll still make some difference.

Las Vegas Rental Cars aren't really that much different from any other state's rental cars. The only relatively significant differences are the ones mentioned in here. Some states have the same policies as Nevada does, except that Las Vegas allows you to gamble your money to your heart's content.
